I draw stuff occasionally. I quite enjoy it.
Maybe it’s because I was born and raised in Rome, surrounded by ancient architecture, but I have always been fascinated with ancient structures, and I find a strange solace in visiting ruins, particularly those being overtaken by forests.
Seeing these once marvelous structures, symbols of human power and resilience, being abandoned and slowly destroyed by nature is paradoxically reassuring. Kind of humbling, no matter how powerful we are, everything we make eventually gets destroyed and outlived by nature. (Well, except plastic. Maybe we should be making our buildings out of that?)
Been a while since I did an inspiration post, huh?
But I’ve been meaning to feature this person for a while. This. Amazing. Artist. Is known on tumblr as Edarow.
Just take a minute to look at these and appreciate how god freaking amazing the colors are, the intricate patterns, the poses, the anatomy, the cartoony-ness, EVERYTHING. Youve probably seen their art somewhere on your dash before, but if you havent, just…you could spend hours getting lost in their art posts, seriously.
Ughdjsfdskjhk It’s just beautiful. I plan to fan art one of their OCs one day myself because DAT DESIGN SKILL.
You can see their ocs here — gosh even their chibis are adorable and perfect as poot!
Oh god, so beautiful.

1: Well, I have four younger brothers and a dad that I used to wrestle with. Fight with my brothers, yes. Fight someone else, I think so. These assholes at the park once.
2: I have never really tried to escape from home. I’m content with where I am in a sense.
11: Hell yeah I believe in ghosts! And it scares the crap out of me.
13: Biggest fear… Besides bugs, not being remembered. Not having anyone think back when I’m gone and be like, “Remember her? She was awesome.” I just don’t want to be forgotten.
16: Oh god yes. Once I was in the library drawing and listening to a podcast. (Let’s Do This! By Spill) And it was the episode where they talked about cat rape. Hold on, it’s getting good. They kept talking about how Kory saw these cats having sex on his front lawn. The female cat looked at him as if asking for help, and Kory just walked away cuz he couldn’t do anything. As they went on, they were talking about how the cat was going to get revenge and have Kory get raped. I was laughing so hard in the middle of the library and I was trying to hold it in. So I ended up keeping the laughter in my throat and looking like I was dying. There were more people than usual at the library that day because there was a chain reaction machine convention thing going on downstairs. Best podcast ever.
19: Every sentence I utter.
I’ll be making one of these for everyone in the dump truck. Yey original arts! (Taken with picplz.)

So yesterday was a day off of school because it was a reserve snow day that we didn’t use and I decided to go to the University that I’ll be attending and get started working on animations.
My teacher, Matt, started me on some quick projects. I did a few ball exercises and then I got to working on a transformation project. That’s where I change one character into another character. It doesn’t matter how I get there, I just have to get there. I’m not done with it and Matt suggested how to make it better. I can’t wait to share it though.
I got to thinking about doing animation for a while, maybe even for the rest of my life. I feel like I’d be okay with that.
I haven’t done much computer animating but I’m sure I’ll get to that when I finish my transformation project. I wanted to do some traditional stuff before I did much on the comp. I think it will help me overall to start on paper.
The reason I’ve been thinking this lately is because I appreciate the work that goes into animation so much more than ever before. I just know that I want to be apart of this process and I want to be like the people that make the things that I love the most.
And after doing animation all freakin day, (seriously, I was there from 8 am to 4 in the afternoon and drawing the majority of the time) I really wanted to work on comics really bad. I got almost completely done pencilling and I inked a few panels here and there.
I’ve just been thinking about this stuff more often because my life is really starting now and I couldn’t be happier. I’m very excited and nervous, but I know that everything will be okay in the end.
