A little bit of life…

So I’m going to be moving out of my parents house soon because I feel like I need the room. I live in a three bedroom, one bathroom house with seven other people and a huge dog. I need elbow room. I haven’t had my own room for twelve years and I feel like now is a good time to do this.

I feel like my parents aren’t supportive of my decisions at all. Whenever I try to talk about it they don’t look at me and just try to avoid it. I’d tell them why I want to leave, but I feel like they’d just yell at me if I tell them how I feel and the truth about how terrible it is to live with so many goddamn people in a tiny house. It’s like they’re not even trying to help me get a car, which I so desperately need. They’re the ones with the papers and they’re the ones who know what to do in the first place when it comes to getting a car.

I just don’t know what to do when it comes to this kind of stuff. I’m their oldest kid and I don’t think they know how to deal with it either.

I’m just not feeling very good right now. Graduation’s coming up and everything is going to change.

Dump Truck

So on top of everything I should be doing, accepted to be apart of a comics dump truck. I’ve wanted to do something like this for so long so it’s good that I finally found a group to do this with.

For those who don’t know: A mini comics dump truck is where a bunch of cartoonists get together and each make a mini comic. When the deadline rolls around, you print up your comic and send it out to everyone else on the list, and they send one to you.

They are usually regulated to a minimum of 8 pages not including cover and back. Sometimes they’ll have a theme. Like right now, the dump truck that I’m getting involved in, the theme is monsters. For this group, it’s just a guide to help bump ideas around. You can do whatever you please. Sometimes other dump trucks are like this, but it really depends.

This is the first dump truck I’ve been involved with but I know a thing or two about others.

The dump truck that I’m doing ships out the first week in August. So I’ve got time to come up with something. This is exciting and just the thing I want to be involved in.
